The aesthetics and content of your emails are as crucial as your online store's design. In Venddor IO, you can create and customize your email templates via the mail directory located under design/themes/your_theme_name. These templates, designed using the Smarty framework, offer both flexibility and familiarity if you've worked with Venddor IO's theme templates.

Venddor IO harnesses the Mailer class's send function for dispatching emails, where the email template becomes one of the defining parameters:

Understanding the Directory Composition

1. media:

   images: This sub-directory houses images designated for email templates. Integrate images seamlessly using the {$images_dir} variable, like so:

   <img src="{$images_dir}/[file_name]" />

2. templates:

   • addons: This folder holds the email templates specific to add-ons. Each add-on gets its designated space, making the path appear as templates/addons/[add-on_name]/.
   • buttons: Store your button templates here.
   • common: For elements recurrent across various email templates, like letter_header.tpl and letter_footer.tpl.
   • orders: It's dedicated to order-centric emails such as notifications, invoices, download links for digital products, and so forth.
   • product: Here, you'll find templates related to product updates, including back-in-stock alerts.
   • promotions: Ideal for email templates linked to promotional activities.
   • shipments: This is the hub for shipment-related email templates.

Deciphering the Email Blueprint

Every email crafted in Venddor IO typically involves at least two .tpl files: one for the email's main content and another for its subject. The subject's template filename mirrors that of the email content but is appended with the _subj suffix.
